Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers give the skin a more youthful appearance by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and adding volume.
The dermal fillers we use are based on hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occuring substance in the skin. As we get older the amount of natural hyaluronic acid gradually reduces and we start to develop lines and wrinkles. By adding dermal fillers we can help the skin to look more youthful and refreshed.
Dermal fillers can be used to add volume, restore hydration and soften lines in most parts of the face including:
Lips (enhance volume, create definition and restore balance)
Nasolabial folds (nose to corner of the mouth lines)
Marionette lines (corner of mouth to jaw)
Cheeks (restore lost volume)
Chin (define and/or correct asymmetry)
Temples (restore lost volume)
Perioral Lines (lip lines -often referred to as smokers or barcode lines)
Jaw (define contours of the jaw)
Tear Trough (reduce hollowing)
Treatment takes around 30 mins. Depending on the area we may use a numbing cream prior to the injections. Results can be seen instantly however the best result will be visible at around 2 weeks as the hyaluronic acid starts to take effect.
Depending on the type of filler used and the area treated results last from 4-18 months.
